Bridge to the Future

Accompanying parents to work and thus gaining an insight into the world of work is a great opportunity. What about children whose parents don’t have a job?

On National Future Day, schoolchildren throughout Switzerland are given the opportunity to accompany their parents to work or to get to know the world of work through various special projects. Children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds are excluded from Future Day. Life Science Cares is now closing this gap and has established a project platform that enables these children to spend Future Day at one of our partner companies in the life science industry.

Key Facts

  • On National Future Day, students from 5th to 7th grade get a day off to immerse themselves in the professional world. In most cases, children accompany their parents or close acquaintances to work, giving them the chance to experience different careers firsthand.

However, children from economically disadvantaged families often miss out on this opportunity. To change this, Life Science Cares Switzerland seeks corporate partners in the life sciences industry who can provide places for children from disadvantaged families on Future Day, allowing them to gain insight into this diverse industry.

  • Our program is aimed at 5th to 7th-grade students from economically disadvantaged families who participate in existing programs run by our NGO partners or local schools.

  • With our program, we aim to achieve three objectives:

Provide children from disadvantaged families with insight into the life sciences industry

    Foster social diversity

Identify/Attract potential talent for the life sciences industry

Provide your employees with opportunities to get involved in social activities (volunteering).
